My midterm project aims to explore various locations that uncanny X-men comics takes place in, mainly focusing on distinguishing those fictional places.

  1. I really liked looking at your midterm project! I liked that you included images of the places because that helped me visualize what the places would actually look like, instead of just seeing them as data points. I also like that you included a second data visualization of the number of places that were real or fictional. Great job!

  2. Your project or website was very unique and cool! The fact that you made both an embedded map and a frequency map showed how dedicated you were which was amazing. I myself chose the same dataset as you but I was not able to come up with the idea of creating a frequency map which was surprisingly very easy and clear to look at. The ArcGIS map was very fun to explore and fun look at but the frequency map was easier to tell the frequency and trends. In addition, it was very cool how you added a picture of the comic book of the locations was very unique. Great project!

  3. I really liked the visuals that you added, like Muir Island, Madripoor, and the X-Men Mansion. Having those images made it easier to visualize than just looking at the points on the map. I also liked the graph below that showed the locations that were either real, fictional and others. I can tell how much effort you put into this project and it was a fun project to look at.
