1. How easy/hard was it?

Since it was my first time using this application/tool everything was new and it took me a lot of time for each step. I had to do a lot of experimenting and researching the tools which was interesting to learn about but very difficult. What I struggled with the most was selecting the correct plane so I could edit the correct parts. I believe that the only way to get better at this is by keeping on practicing with Fusion 360 so hoping for an opportunity to work on this.

2. what elements particularly bogged you down?

The fact that I was not able to log into my fusion360 account was very annoying and bogged me down. I have yet to figure out how to log in so hopefully that will be fixed.

3. what compromises did you have to make?

I wanted to extrude multiple circles in my Pokeball but I had to extrude each of them in different lengths. When I originally wanted to extrude them, it extruded all of the circle at once and I was not able to distinguish them. I was stuck for a while so I figured it out by looking it up online and learned that I have to assign multiple planes and manually select them.

4. What humanistic uses can you envision for this tool in the areas of research or teaching?

I can envision this tool being used in games studies or Design studies to create objects with cool looks and features

5. tips: One tip I wish I knew was the importance of the side menu. The side menu allowed me to select the different planes and shapes without having to zoom in and click the part of the object I wanted to edit. Also, If you get stuck don’t be afraid to seek help. I went to the perfect session for assistance and also iid research online.

Interactive viewer of the Fusion 360 model: I was unfortunately not able to make this since I am not able to log into my fusion360. Sorry!

  1. I’m a big fan of Pokemon and it is really nice to see your model of the Pokeball here! It just reminds me of the evolution of the game from 2D to 3D. I also faced login problem, but mine is that the website automatically refreshed and I forgot to save it (I thought it would automatically save the current version), so I lost my first design. It was annoying and I hope you can find a way out. I agree that it is important to seek help of various type and don’t just stare at the screen when being bogged done.

  2. Pokemon was a massive part of my childhood, and you did a great job making a Pokeball. Your design really brings me back to playing the game on my Nintendo 3DS so thanks for the nostalgia. I agree that seeking help is important, especially when using software like Fusion360, geared more toward experienced users than beginners. I hope your login issue is resolved since that sounds incredibly frustrating. Overall excellent job!

    1. Some feedback regarding your wordpress post I would like to share are:
Instead of screenshooting the whole screen, you could have captured small part of the screen where it only displays the object.
I would also suggest when you capture the image, change the background of your 360 Fusion so the graphs wouldn’t show.
Lastly, I would suggest messing around more with wordpress and organizing the reflection comments you have added and also adding the HTML link of your object to your wordpresee so viewers could mess around with your designed object.
