Courses at Carleton Final Project and Website

For our final project, we wanted to track how the course offerings at Carleton changed over the history of the college. We decided to use the course catalogues going back to the founding of the college provided by the Carleton Digital Collections: Academic Catalogues. Since most of the earlier catalogues aren’t digitized, we had to track the data by hand. We also wrote programs to collect the data of the extensive catalogues of later periods. From the data we collected, we made three graphs: a hierarchical bar graph, a line graph, and bar chart race to visualize our data. To check our results, you can visit our website. We enjoyed working on this project and hope you enjoy our work!
