For our final project, we were first drawn to looking at the Carleton College Zoobooks in the Carleton Archives: Digital Collections. Upon further inspection, we decided it would be intriguing to investigate the trends of high schools in which Carleton students came from. Using this data, we created an interactive map for the top ten schools and classified them based on if they were in state or out of state. We then created two maps in arcGIS. Our first map shows whether of not the high schools are private or public schools and our second map shows the density of locations that students at Carleton College come from.
